Friday- on Friday I got up and went with Betty, Keenan, and Nick to Soros international. George Soros is basically a really rich guy who made his money off the exchange rate and gives so much money to eastern europe for programs. This place teaches English and some other languages at a day camp. Then we went to the KGB musuem which was a little horrific. We went down to the prison and saw rooms they held people in and whatnot. One room had a bowl shaped floor that was filled with water and had a tiny stand coming out of it. THe KGB would put bad prisoners on the stand and make them stand there for a long time. If they fell asleep or lost balance they would fall in the water. And keep in mind, most of the year the water would be nearly ice. We had language lessons later on in the day so I can say things like my name is, im american, im a student, thank you, all the hellos and goodbyes, and basic things like that now. We got back and I actually cooked for once, then we went out. The club everyone told us was good, however, ended up being owned by the Russian mob. I mean its not a problem, its a normal club, but once we figured that out we were very uncomfortable. So it wasn't that fun. I left pretty early. Maybe around 3? I forget.
Saturday- Saturday we got up and went to lunch at the pizza place, then we got on a bus to Trakai which was a 30 min bus ride. It is a huuuge pond and in the middle is this old, red and orange brick castle. Its beautiful. We got to go inside and everything. They had archery and crossbows you could shoot. Then we walked around forever trying to rent a boat but we never found one to fit 4 people. So we ate, and got home around 8. Then we went to Ibish to watch the US and then went out to Prospectus, which is the club they all went to before I came. It was alright but they played so much techno and the DJ kept telling us they would play hip hop soon so we kept waiting and waiting, but that didnt happen til 430. I left arund 530. There was a guy who looked like a more punk adam levine in the club, it was kinda funny. Anyways, now its almost 1 on Sunday so I'm going to go shower and head out.
